BLOG: Upgraded

We have grown bigger, in terms of people, clients and aspiration. We're constantly amazed at how well things have gone for us since we started back in 2003. Much better than we dared expect.

The result is that we have had to grab our stuff and move (just a half mile down the road) to bigger premises.

We're now installed on the top floor of a converted brewery near Clapham Common. It's a lovely space - high, beamed ceilings and views out towards Battersea Power Station in one direction and the Houses of Parliament in the other. At the moment we have more space than we know what to do with, but we're not expecting this to last.

Thanks to everyone who has helped us on our journey so far. If you are passing please come in and say hello.

BLOG: Say Eh-oh

Over the last few weeks codegent has been developing two games for two very different target audiences.

The first game is My Teletubbyland a new game for the Teletubbies Fun and Games page on the CBeebies website. The aim of the game is to allow kids to create their own Teletubbyland by clicking and placing characters and other elements onto the scene. They can then play their Teletubbyland complete with sound effects and animation and also print it out and colour it in.

The second game is GradJobs Food Fight, a fun light-hearted way to promote two up-and-coming National Graduate Recruitment Exhibitions in London and Birmingham. It’s a hard life being a student, you’re chilling out in the Student Union Bar when your mate suggests a food fight. He starts chucking food in your direction and you wheel around on your chair trying to catch and gulp down as much as possible. The game was initially sent out to over 37,000 people via GradJobs ‘GradMail’ and the feedback has been that it’s highly addictive!

Lucy in game-launch record

Lucy has launched three games in about as many weeks.

The first is the surreal My Teletubbyland for the BBC, the second is almost as surreal but aimed at slightly older users - a food throwing game for undergraduates. And the third one, a rather cool football game for Screwfix, to coincide with some footballing occasion that's happening in the next few weeks.

Good job, Lucy!!

Anyway - more details here.
